Introduction


The Software Development Technician is designed for those who wish to start or strengthen their training in software development through a progressive, practical path focused on building technological solutions.

Throughout the program, you will learn from the fundamentals of programming to the development of Frontend and Backend applications, incorporating software design principles, object-oriented programming, quality assurance, and project development.

The technical training is complemented by progressive English learning, with the aim of preparing the student to navigate more confidently in a professional area where much of the documentation, tools, and technical communication use this language.


Training Areas

The program integrates different fundamental areas of software development to provide a balanced training between programming, solution building, quality, communication, and practical application.

  • Programming and problem solving: You will develop the necessary foundations to understand problems, propose solutions through algorithms, and progressively transform them into programs using principles and structures inherent to software development.
  • Software development: You will learn the process by which a need or idea can become a technological solution, understanding the different stages, practices, and responsibilities involved in software construction.
  • Object-Oriented Programming: You will learn to structure programs using objects, classes, and other principles of object-oriented programming, aiming to build more organized, reusable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Frontend and Backend: You will explore the two main areas involved in many modern applications. You will work both with building interfaces and experiences that the user interacts with, as well as with the logic, processing, databases, and services that operate behind them.
  • Software Design: You will develop criteria to organize and design software solutions in a structured way, considering principles that favor their understanding, maintenance, evolution, and quality.
  • Software Quality Assurance: You will learn the importance of verifying and validating the operation of a solution, identifying defects and applying practices that contribute to developing higher quality and reliability software.
  • English applied to the technological environment: English is progressively developed as a complementary skill to technical training. In addition to strengthening communication skills, it will allow the student to navigate more comfortably through documentation, tools, and contexts specific to the technology industry.
  • Project Development: Projects allow for the integration of knowledge acquired during different stages of the program. The student must analyze problems, make decisions, apply technical knowledge, and build solutions that demonstrate their evolution during training.

What and how will you learn? 


Learning software development involves much more than memorizing programming instructions. During the program, you will learn to analyze problems, propose solutions, program, design, build, test, and improve software, combining technical knowledge with practical experiences that will progressively increase in complexity.

You will start by developing fundamentals and then advance to object-oriented programming, Frontend and Backend development, software design, and quality assurance. As you progress, you will need to integrate this knowledge to face increasingly comprehensive challenges and projects.

The goal is for you to understand not only how to write code but also how to use it to build software solutions in an organized and well-founded manner.


Methodology

The program uses a theoretical-practical methodology, where concepts serve as a foundation to later apply them through exercises, practices, problem-solving, and projects.

Classes combine conceptual explanations with demonstrations, guided activities, and spaces where the student must experiment, analyze, and build their own solutions.

Assessment is part of the learning process and is not limited solely to determining a grade, but rather to creating spaces to identify strengths, analyze areas for improvement, and ensure continuous progress regarding students' skills.

Depending on the characteristics of each course, exercises, practices, projects, assessments, research, individual or collaborative activities, and other strategies may be used to demonstrate mastery of the corresponding knowledge and competencies.

We understand that learning programming and software development involves facing problems, making mistakes, experimenting, and finding new ways to solve them. For this reason, teacher support is an important part of the training process. During the different courses, you will be able to ask questions, receive feedback, and obtain guidance on the content and activities developed.

The program is aimed at individuals interested in starting a structured training in programming and software development.

It is not expected that the student has prior mastery of programming languages or specialized tools, as the path begins by developing the necessary foundations to progressively advance to more complex content.

However, it will be beneficial to have a willingness to learn, an interest in technology, the ability to face problems logically, and a commitment to practice outside of class.

It will also be important to maintain an open attitude towards learning English, due to its presence during different stages of the program and particularly in its final phase.

Upon successfully completing the program, the student will have developed foundations and competencies that will allow them to participate in building software solutions using different principles, tools, and practices studied during their training.

They will be able to analyze problems and propose solutions through programming; apply object-oriented programming principles; participate in the development of Frontend and Backend components; apply software design fundamentals; perform activities related to quality assurance; and collaborate in different stages of a development project.

Likewise, it will have strengthened its ability to research, learn new technologies, interpret technical documentation, and progressively communicate in English within contexts related to technology and software development.

The final projects will allow the integration of these competencies and demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge from different areas of the program.

Training Path


The program is designed as a progressive learning path that accompanies the student from the fundamentals of programming to the comprehensive development of software solutions.

The training begins with Basic Programming and Introduction to Software Development, where the foundations of computational thinking, problem-solving, and understanding the software development process are built. Subsequently, Object-Oriented Programming and Software Design Principles allow for advancing towards the creation of more structured, maintainable, and scalable solutions.

With these foundations, the student deepens their knowledge in the main areas of modern development through Backend and Frontend, understanding both the logic and services that support an application as well as the construction of the interfaces with which users interact. The training is complemented with Software Quality Assurance, incorporating principles and practices aimed at verifying the quality and reliability of the developed software.

The acquired learning begins to integrate through Final Software Project I, where the student puts into practice knowledge from different areas of the program in a larger-scale project.

In parallel, the courses of English I, II, III, and IV they progressively develop competencies in English that allow them to navigate with greater confidence in academic and technological environments, where this language has a fundamental presence.

The path culminates with Final Software Project II, taught entirely in English, in which the student integrates the technical, methodological, and linguistic knowledge developed during the program to face a project experience close to the challenges they may encounter in professional software development contexts.
